ACADEMIC CHEATING IS COUNTER PRODUCTIVE ? - We’ve been taught that cheating is academically dishonest, morally wrong and despicable since we began our journey into academia in early education. Despite this stigma associated with cheating, it is hard to go without noticing the various forms of cheating that occurs at seemingly every juncture in our high school: from plagiarism in essays, tests and. However, many continue with cheating for personal gains for award of prizes and degrees. Many delude themselves into the presumption that if everyone cheats, it becomes justifiable. However, it is not fair for a student who cheats to be equally successful as harder working students who truly understand the material. We find people submitting research papers and dissertation to bring in sensationalism vanishes into dark in no time as many watch us what really our content in true sense. Though this may seem trivial at first, the recent surge in competitiveness of college admissions, attain higher positions, and award of PhD’s All types of cheating are short lived, today many are ignored for all the wrong actions, Academic life is, by its very nature, competitive, Learning to behave morally within a competitive atmosphere is one of the most important lessons the seniors should aspire to impart to its students. Never to forget a scientist eye is watching and above our students know better of us ?
